Vocal chops over the beat with a dreamy piano line brings us to Melanie's wonderfully longing vocals. "Why don't you talk to me? I'm just trying to feel alive again," she sings as the warm arpeggiated bass line bounces with xylophone hits on top.

As an artist I’ve had many different phases. I spent the majority of my life before L3mon feeling angry, sad, confused, anxious, unlucky in love, and feeling overall very misunderstood. I had a constant desire to be loved, and always felt invisible, ghostlike- constantly trying to find myself but hiding from the world when things got tough.

I’ve let go of the bad love, the bad ego that held me back from really putting myself out there, and the insecure and scared person that cared about being misunderstood. I accept my imperfections and now see them as what set me apart and make me special, rather than unworthy. Who is Melanie? She is a work in progress.
